Overview
SubAutomate ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Do NOT Collect
SubAutomate is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT:
- Access your bank accounts or financial institutions
- Store your bank statements or transaction data
- Upload your financial information to any server
- Collect personal information such as your name, email, or phone number
- Track your location
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Share any data with third parties
- Create user accounts or profiles
How the App Works
1. Local Processing Only
When you upload a bank statement (CSV or PDF), all processing happens entirely on your device. The file is analyzed locally and never transmitted to any external server.
2. No Cloud Storage
We do not upload your statement or any extracted data. The original statement file is not retained after processing. Extracted subscription results are stored only in your device's local storage until you delete them. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
3. No Account Required
SubAutomate does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
In-App Purchases
SubAutomate offers optional subscription purchases through Apple's App Store. These transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only:
- Confirmation that a purchase was made
- The type of subscription purchased
- Subscription status (active/expired)
We do NOT receive your payment information, Apple ID, or other personal details.

Expo/React Native
The app is built using Expo and React Native frameworks. These technologies run locally on your device and do not transmit personal data.
Data Security
Since we don't collect or transmit your data, there is no data to secure on our end. Your financial information remains on your device, protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encryption).
Children's Privacy
SubAutomate does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete on our servers. All your data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted by:
- Deleting individual scans within the app
- Uninstalling the app (removes all data)
